Judith Landry

Judith Landry is a translator from the French and Italian. For many years she taught Italian to students of art history at the Courtauld Institute, translated French and Italian films for the National Film Theatre and translated French and Italian articles for the Italian art magazine FMR (Franco Maria Ricci).

Her translations for Dedalus include 'The House by the medlar tree' (I Malavoglia), by Giovanni Verga, and 'The Weeping Woman on the streets of Prague', by Sylvie Germain. Other translations include 'A bag of marbles', by Joseph Joffo, 'Jerusalem', by Fosco Maraini, a selection of short stories by Dino Buzzati and works on Venetian architecture, Jewish life in medieval Umbria and the architecture of the Marais district, in Paris.
