Transcript presents five books with wide appeal which are characterised by the originality and dynamic dynamism of their writing. Three of the books, Súil le Breith, Cuaifeach mo Lon Dubh Bhuí and Torfinn represent Irish writing in the 1980s. An Dochtúir Áthas is a seminal work which dates to 1994. Gaineamh Séidte represents verse composition rooted in the literary tradition of Connemara where Irish is still strong. Read Five Excellent Books in Irish in Transcript 9.
