Mojca Kumerdej (1964) is a philosopher, cultural chronicler, theatre critic and writer. If she was still settling accounts with the Slovenian literary tradition and trying to find a voice in Krst nad Triglavom (2001), her most recent short-story collection Fragma (2003) ushers in a new, distinctive female literary voice, creating an utterly original world, which reflects contemporary society with all its problems. Her short stories were translated into several languages and included in two anthologies.
