The Marsh Award for Children's Literature in Translation

The fourth Marsh award for children's literature in translation has been won by Anthea Bell for Where Were You, Robert? originally written in German by Hans Magnus Enzensberger.

The shortlist comprised fiction from Austria, Denmark, Germany, France and the Netherlands, all published in English in the last two years. Read Other Tongues, an article by Jan Mark in the Guardian about The Marsh Award.

Among the books shortlisted for The Marsh Award was The Shamer's Daughter by Denmark's Lene Kaaberbøl.
