Svetlana Makarovic

Svetlana Makarovic was born in Maribor, Slovenia in 1939 and started her career as a stage actress. Today she is one of the best-known Slovenian writers. She has published several books of poetry, and has written more than thirty books and fifteen plays for children and young adults.
