Ersan Üldes
Ersan Üldes was born in in 1973. His first novel Yerli Film (Domestic Film) received The İnkılap Bookstore Novel Award in 1999. His second novel Aldırılan Çocuklar Örgütü (Organization of Aborted Children) was published in 2004. He has written book reviews for various supplements and literary magazines, and is an ardent reader of novels the world over. Üldes is an avid student of literary theory and writes with a bold, biting humor, pushing the limits of the novel as we know it. His latest novel, Zafiyet Kuramı (Theory of Infirmity), was published by Plan B in 2007. 'Derwish' written by Ersan Üldes and Murat Uyurkulak was translated into French and published in the short story collection Nouvelles de Turquie.
