Albert Gatt is a cognitive scientist whose research focuses on the computational and psychological processes underlying language processing. He lectures in Linguistics and Computer Science at the University of Malta. He has translated several works of poetry and prose (primarily from Maltese into English) by authors such as Clare Azzopardi, Immanuel Mifsud, Adrian Grima and Antoine Cassar.

Catherine McGrotty was Development Officer for Learning & Skills at the Verbal Arts Centre in Derry, Northern Ireland, developing various school and community projects, before she took up the post of editor of Verbal magazine, an independent publication from the VAC that has a distribution of 100,000 copies in Northern Ireland. Verbal is a magazine about books, writing and writers, especially Irish and Northern Irish books and authors.

Catherine McGrotty worked closely with Adrian Grima when he was invited for a residency at the VAC in 2006.
