Simone Inguanez was born in Malta in 1971. She is the author of Water, Fire, Earth, and I (Tr. Maria Grech Ganado, Klabb Kotba Maltin, 2005) and Ftit Mara Ftit Tifla (Part Woman Part Child, Inizjamed & Midsea Books, 2005); and co-author of 7 poets 4 days 1 book (Texas: Trinity Press, 2009).

Translations of her poetry have appeared in literary reviews (including Transcript, The Drunken Boat, Storie, Poeticanet) and literary websites. She received a writer’s residency at the International Writing Programme (IWP) at the University of Iowa, and read at international literary festivals, including the Lodève Voix de la Méditerranée festival, the Hungary Eurpooetica festival, the Lecce Recital dei Poeti del Mediterraneo.

She holds a degree in Law and has pursued interests ranging from Criminology to Gestalt Psychoterapy and Language. She now works at the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts (MCCA), as Arts Executive for Literature.
