The Helsinki Book FairThe Helsinki Book Fair is an annual event organised by The Finnish Fair Corporation in co-operation with The Finnish Book Publishers' Association and The Booksellers' Association of Finland.
The Fair was organised for the third time in 2003 when 36,500 visitors and 236 exhibitors attended the fair. Over 700 authors and speakers attended the Fair in 2003, including guest speakers from countries such as Sweden, Norway, Russia, Estonia, Great Britain and the USA. Amongst the speakers were Liza Marklund, Leif G W Persson, Lars Saabye Christensen, Mikael Niemi, Åsne Seierstad, Maija Plisetskaja, Eva Ström, Mihail Berg and Aleksandr Sekatski.
