GAELTACHT NOVELISTS
Pádraig Ó CíobháinPádraig Ó Cíobháin is a native of west Kerry. He worked as a teacher for a time in Cork city before moving to the Galway area. He is a prolific writer whose idiom marries a prodigious imagination with the riches of his native dialect. His eighth novel Ré an Charbaid (The Age of the Chariot) is set in contemporary Galway, but is structured around the heroic tales of Ulster and the demi-god boy warrior Cú Chulainn.
