Irish Language Poetry in Dublin
Read a short introduction to the Irish language and its literature in Transcript 4.
Irish language poets have long been established in Dublin. While a small number of them are native to the city, many have their roots in the south and west and, over the years, have found careers in the capital, largely in the media, in education or in the civil service. Transcript presents Biddy Jenkinson, Micheál Davitt and Gabriel Rosenstock, three Irish language poets who have associations with Dublin.
