Liam O Muirthile
Liam O Muirthile was born in Cork City in 1950 and attended UCC, where he was a member of the Innti group of poets. An early collection Tine Chnámh (Sairséal O Marcaigh, 1984) he adapted for stage. Dialann Bóthair appeared in 1993 (1993). In 1995, the play Fear an Tae was first staged. For some years, he wrote a popular weekly column in Irish for The Irish Times. His most recent collection of poetry is Walking Time (Cló Iarchonnachta, 2002).
